Ninh Binh province has 3 kinds of terrains: Mountainous region, coastal region and the transition delta. With long coastline of 18km, Ninh Binh's sea and coastal areas have been recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve. It has rich and diverse tourism potential with many world heritages. The 95km journey from Hanoi to Ninh Binh takes between 2 and 3 hours, depending on your mode of transport. The easiest way to travel is by bus because it is a direct connection, and some buses even offer a free pick-up service from your hotel. Other options are train, private car or taxi.

Ninh Binh has two picturesque golf courses: Royal Golf Club and Trang An Golf & Country Club. Trang An Golf & Country Club possesses poetic beauty, impressive terrain combined with pine forests casting shadows on Dong Cuong Lake.
