Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026 to set new standards in Performance Technology
With the theme “Da Nang – United Horizons”, DIFF 2026 is set to become one of the most ambitious editions in the festival’s history. Taking place from May 30 to July 11 along the Han River, this year’s event will not only expand in scale but also introduce groundbreaking stage technology and immersive visual experiences.

Da Nang - United Horizons
A major highlight of DIFF 2026 is the debut of a massive kinetic dome stage system combined with advanced multi-layer LED, laser, and lighting technology. For the first time ever, giant movable dome structures will operate as the centerpiece of the stage, creating dynamic transformations in real time throughout each performance.
The stage concept, inspired by the idea of “connected horizons,” imagines a moment when the Earth slows down and boundaries begin to disappear. Through this artistic vision, the festival aims to symbolize the connection between cultures, emotions, and modern creativity.
Designed across three spatial layers, the stage incorporates sweeping curved structures reminiscent of bridges linking different worlds together. At the highest level, illuminated arches stretch outward to represent ambition and limitless growth, while reflective water effects below enhance the dialogue between tradition and innovation.
Big changes and what you should know
Spanning nearly 100 meters in width and covering approximately 1,200 square meters, the expanded stage has been carefully designed to provide panoramic views for spectators across the grandstands. The main performance area alone measures 50 meters wide, allowing for large-scale artistic productions synchronized with fireworks displays overhead.
One of the festival’s most revolutionary features is its advanced mechanical system. A giant movable dome exceeding 40 meters in width and over 10 meters in height will serve as the stage’s central axis. Alongside it are five independently operated kinetic arches capable of moving separately or in synchronization, continuously reshaping the visual environment.
The greatest technological advancement in the history of the event
The technology behind the performances has also been significantly upgraded. DIFF 2026 integrates programmable lifting systems, high-powered lasers, 3D LED matrix displays, and Retro Amber lighting effects to create spectacular “light horizons” across the stage and skyline.
Rather than functioning solely as display screens, the LED systems act as a “living skin of light,” capable of both reflecting and transmitting visual effects. Combined with synchronized lighting and mechanical movement, the stage becomes a constantly evolving visual spectacle that adapts to each performance theme.
Beyond its technological advancements, DIFF 2026 will also gather some of the world’s leading fireworks teams, making this year’s competition one of the strongest lineups to date. The festival was recently recognized by Travel + Leisure as one of the Top 9 Festivals Worth Experiencing Worldwide.
