Da Nang named AGAIN as one of Asia’s best destinations of 2026.
Da Nang has once again earned international recognition after being named the second most attractive summer destination in Asia by Lonely Planet in its latest “The Best Places to Visit in Asia This Summer 2026” ranking.
The coastal city ranked just behind Busan, further strengthening its reputation as one of Asia’s leading beach and lifestyle destinations.

2nd best destination in Asia this summer
According to Lonely Planet - one of the best travel publishers in the world - June is considered the ideal time to experience Da Nang, thanks to its sunny weather, vibrant coastal atmosphere, and wide range of outdoor activities. The city stood out among Asia’s top destinations for its balance of natural beauty, modern tourism infrastructure, and diverse travel experiences.
The publication highlighted Da Nang’s famous beaches, including My Khe Beach and Non Nuoc Beach, as perfect summer escapes with long stretches of white sand and crystal-clear waters. Beyond its coastline, the city also offers a layered travel experience that blends nature, culture, and urban energy within a single destination.
Travelers can explore the lush landscapes of Son Tra Peninsula, discover the spiritual and scenic beauty of Marble Mountains, or visit the Museum of Cham Sculpture to gain insight into the region’s rich Champa heritage. The convenient connection between Da Nang and Hoi An also allows visitors to combine beach relaxation with cultural exploration in one seamless journey.
Lonely Planet noted that Da Nang has evolved beyond a traditional beach getaway into a destination where visitors can slow down in nature, enjoy vibrant city life, experience local cuisine, and appreciate the city’s welcoming atmosphere and professional tourism services.

The 2026 ranking also featured notable destinations such as Singapore, Bali, Sendai, Chengdu, and the Altai Mountains. Among these destinations, Da Nang was praised for successfully combining seaside living, cultural identity, and modern development into a well-rounded travel experience.
The beach escape of your dream!
Tourism officials in Da Nang believe the city’s continued presence in international rankings reflects its long-term focus on sustainable tourism development and visitor-centered experiences. The recognition is also expected to strengthen Vietnam’s tourism image globally and attract more travelers from key international markets, particularly Australia, Northeast Asia, and tourists seeking outdoor adventures and cultural immersion.

Located in central Vietnam, Da Nang has long been regarded as one of the country’s most livable and dynamic tourism cities. With easy access to UNESCO heritage destinations including Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, and Imperial City of Hue, the city continues to position itself as a major gateway for travelers exploring central Vietnam.
In addition to its natural advantages, Da Nang is also known for hosting major international events such as the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, alongside luxury beachfront resorts, world-class golf courses, and large-scale entertainment complexes, making it one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-rising tourism destinations.
