10 Vietnamese Resorts Named Listed Asia’s Best Resort
InterContinental Danang was honored as Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort, while Six Senses Ninh Van Bay was recognized as the most romantic destination.
At the World Travel Awards (WTA) Asia–Pacific ceremony held in Hong Kong on October 13, Vietnam’s tourism industry once again affirmed its position on the international map by winning 40 awards.
In addition to destination categories, many hotels and resorts in Vietnam also received top honors in “Asia’s Leading” categories.
10. Panhou Retreat
Panhou Retreat won the title of Asia’s Leading Green Resort. Located in Hoang Su Phi, Tuyen Quang Province, the resort includes one villa and 40 rooms, with rates starting from 2.9 million VND.
The name Panhou (Ban Ho) is inspired by the legend of the divine dog-god Ban Ho, who was sent to earth to help King Binh Vuong fight invaders. After the victory, the king married his daughter to Ban Ho, who later became the successor and was known as King Ban Vuong. He had twelve children, who became the ancestors of the twelve branches of the Dao ethnic group today.
The first representative from central Vietnam mentioned is Hoi An Memories Resort & Spa, located on Con Hen, Hoi An, which won Asia’s Leading Entertainment Resort. Situated 31 km from Da Nang International Airport, this property has been honored in this category for the fourth consecutive year.
9. Shilla Monogram
Shilla Monogram Quangnam Danang, just a five-minute walk from Ha My Beach, received the award for Asia’s Leading Lifestyle Resort. The resort is 17 minutes on foot from Montgomerie Links Golf Course and 1.5 km from Montgomerie Links Vietnam Golf Club, making it a great destination for golf enthusiasts.
8. Premier Village Danang
Premier Village Danang won the award for Asia’s Leading Family Villa Resort for the first time. Located along My Khe Beach, the resort includes 111 villas designed in three distinct styles: ocean-view, garden-view, and beachfront.
During their stay, guests can also visit nearby UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Ancient Town.
7. Mercure Danang
Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills was named Asia’s Leading Themed Resort. Located atop Ba Na Hills, it is a popular mountain retreat during summer and attracts families with children thanks to its proximity to the amusement park.
6. InterContinental Danang
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort received the title of Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort from the WTA.
Opened in 2012, the resort’s villas are scattered among the hills of the Son Tra Peninsula Nature Reserve in Da Nang, overlooking a private sandy beach. It is home to La Maison 1888, Da Nang’s first Michelin-starred restaurant, offering French cuisine infused with local ingredients.
5. Banyan Tree Lang Co
Banyan Tree Lang Co, with 86 secluded villas and private pools nestled between the Truong Son Mountains and the East Sea in Hue, was named Asia’s Leading Luxury Beach Resort.
Room rates for the mountain-top villas, including ones with one, two, or three bedrooms. The private infinity pools at each villa are among guests’ favorite experiences.

Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay won the award for Asia’s Leading Family Beach Resort for the second consecutive year.
This five-star resort is located on Khem Beach, offering more than 750 rooms. It is a 25-minute drive from Phu Quoc International Airport and 40 minutes from Duong Dong Town.
3. La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc
La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc – MGallery received the title of Asia’s Leading Boutique Resort. Situated on Phu Quoc Island overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, the resort’s design recalls French villas from the 1920s.
2. Six Senses Ninh Van Bay
Six Senses Ninh Van Bay was named Asia’s Most Romantic Resort. Overlooking Ninh Van Bay in Khanh Hoa, it allows guests to enjoy stunning natural views from open-air bathtubs inside thatched villas.
The resort is also home to a conservation area for endangered monkey species. Guests can enjoy activities such as hiking, seaside picnics, fishing, and sunset watching.
